What is Love?
an exploration of spoken word
New Poems
it's in the leaves
harps grew too taut
dampened, muted
a dripping horizon’s tears
and griot croons wept,
unwitnessed
their sipping turned sour
sickening needs clutched
each downside went up
gore left in space
as indecisions were made
undoing
armies raze heavens
while thoughtlessness reigns
together, for splendor
her love will remain
below feet grows terror
upon backs, the truce
quakes shatter their Earth
prayers jar something loose
mother, oh, mother
please, soon let us go
your freedom calls friction
so make it a show
gifted
showing herself twice to glory,
her plea careened,
a rumble
such allowance did fester
the rebirthing
malleable, unbreakable
and for raging fires, she sang
that very way it came
a recompense
touch-twisted, falling
in nowhere
each sumptuous regale reclaimed;
an inborne hunger
burrowing need into all
for how she would scream
for how it was heard
