Description

What a week in the sport of football.

Joe Burrow is sad.

Philip Rivers is back.

Sherrone Moore is… is… we’ll let you Google the details.

I get into everything on “Real Football” with co-host Jim Monos. And since I’m currently down in Houston for Texans reporting, it feels like a good time to zero in on this team’s quarterback: C.J. Stroud. Can he make noise in this wide-open AFC? This team certainly has the defense.

This offense has sputtered, but the Texans should be encouraged by Stroud’s chutzpah. He delivered late at Kansas City. Unlike Burrow, he’s happy. We discuss with the longtime NFL scout/exec himself.

Toward the end, we touch on that rivalry brewing in the NFC North, too. What did Monos see out of Caleb Williams at Lambeau Field? His second-half toughness was impressive. Private QB coach Steve Calhoun took readers into Jordan Love’s head earlier this week. How has Love separated himself in the NFC?
