Welcome to "Lost and Found," the talk given by Javier Mendoza that explores the challenges of fulfilling the Great Commission. In this episode, Javier will be discussing five challenges that prevent us from fully carrying out the mission of sharing the gospel and making disciples.
First, the challenge of ideology vs. theology. Often, our personal ideologies and beliefs can be stronger than our understanding of theology, making it difficult to share the gospel with others who may have different beliefs. How do we overcome this obstacle and share the love of Christ with those who may not agree with us?
Next, the challenge of whose job it is to share the gospel. Many of us may believe it is solely the job of pastors or evangelists, but in reality, we are all called to be witnesses for Christ. How can we equip ourselves and others to share the good news of the gospel?
The third challenge discussed is our indifference to those who are lost. Sometimes, we become complacent and comfortable in our own faith, forgetting the urgency of sharing the gospel with those who may not have heard it before. How can we regain a sense of urgency and compassion for those who are lost?
Fourth, we'll tackle the challenge of our own insecurities overshadowing our identity. Sharing the gospel can be intimidating, especially when we feel inadequate or unsure of ourselves. How can we overcome these insecurities and share the message of Christ with confidence?
Finally, we'll address the challenge of feeling like the task of fulfilling the Great Commission is impossible at times. With so much division and conflict in the world, it can be easy to feel discouraged or overwhelmed. How can we stay motivated and faithful in our mission to share the love of Christ with others?
Join us as we explore these challenges and seek to find practical solutions for fulfilling the Great Commission.
