Accurate Astrology: Week of October 19th, 2026
The week opens with the Moon in Aquarius. With the Sun in Libra and the Moon in an air sign, there’s a real vibe in the air. The buzz is all about verbal communication: let’s connect, let’s share, let’s network. That’s emphasized Monday into Tuesday.
A caveat: Aquarius is a fixed sign, so its energy is tenacious. It likes to stay on task. Yes, Aquarius is the free spirit, the lover of change and revolution, but it pursues all of that in a sustainable way. It isn’t really erratic, though it can look that way from the outside. Whether it’s one’s rising sign, Sun, or Moon, the Aquarian has been contemplating what they’re fixed on, and then suddenly seems to act. That surprises the people around them, but it’s no surprise to the Aquarian. It was never spontaneous. It was “okay, now I’m ready,” a matter of timing or energetic momentum.
These days are well aspected for making connections and getting ideas moving, but remember that Venus is retrograde. Take care in how you approach people with the idea you’re so jazzed about. How it’s received matters, and so does how you convey it. Times given in this forecast are ET.
Monday: Assess and Tease It Out
Later in the day, Mars opposes the Moon, and in the wee hours of Tuesday, Venus squares Pluto. Boiled down, what we feel, want, and need may conflict with someone else’s agenda. Think power plays. So use that Aquarius air-sign Moon to assess the situation, have conversations, and understand where people are. Find the potential blocks and tugs of war, so you can present or broker your ideas in ways that are more acceptable and understandable.
Tuesday: Think Big, Stay the Course
Tuesday can bring a lot of excitement, a sense that this can happen and that can happen, and everything seems really big. Bring it into alignment with your core initiative. What is the long-term goal? This is fixed-sign energy, willing to go the distance. It’s not a fly-by-night “grab it and move on.” It’s about growing the project, improving communication and alignment, and helping people understand how to expand it.
This is achievable. The valuable piece is understanding where everyone is on Monday and Tuesday. Once we get past early evening Tuesday, around 7 PM ET, we hit that lovely juice of connecting and coalescing. So these are roll-up-your-sleeves days to negotiate, mitigate, and get on the same page. Then celebrate in the evening as everything starts to gel.
Wednesday: Finish, Then Flow
The Moon goes void of course at 4:42 a.m. and enters Pisces at 8:35 a.m. A void Moon is a good time to organize and finish things up, not to start anything new. That’s especially true with Venus retrograde and Mercury about to turn retrograde. See where all that good energy landed and put things in place.
Once the Moon enters Pisces, communication continues, but much of it is nonverbal. We work with touch and intuition, sensing who’s the right candidate for what. Verbal conversations and paperwork are still fine, ideally signed before Mercury goes retrograde. But go by whether it feels right. Don’t force the square peg into the round hole. Find the happy place for that square peg, and be willing to leave things open until they flow and fit.
In the late afternoon and early evening, the Moon and Uranus form a hard aspect, which means people are moving faster than they’re concentrating. Know where you are in space and pay attention to where others are. If you tend to shoot out ideas without thinking about how they’ll land, sit with it for a couple of minutes and ask, “Is this the best way to say this?” Uranus can shake everything up, and that’s not always bad. It’s better when we’re conscious of what we’re doing and why.
With the Moon in Pisces, it behooves us to be sensitive to how people feel. That’s harder for some than others. You may notice that certain people have a knack for calming things down, while others thrive on attention, on mishaps, on shooting things out and then doubling down.
That phrase, “doubling down,” gives me a headache. It seems to have blown up in the 21st century, and it’s the antithesis of how we’re supposed to grow. We’re meant to expand and open up to new concepts, to say “oh, that’s a new way to think about it” instead of “no, this is the only way.” That bludgeon is old-world stuff, and it’s hanging around too long. I think that’s because we’re approaching a point where things will catapult and shift. Seat belts fastened. I’m optimistic.
Thursday: Fill Your Cup
Thursday the 22nd is juicy, lovely energy, with the Moon in Pisces moving toward a trine with Mercury in Scorpio. It’s saying: be willing to feel. That sensitivity and empathy is what we want to enlarge, because there’s a desert of it in some of the loudest voices and world leaders right now. Walking in someone else’s moccasins is not a world they know. So let the water energy pour in. Fill your cup, fill your heart with empathy.
Honestly, empathy hurts. It’s incredibly difficult to open into, which is why good boundaries and filters matter. We don’t want to close ourselves off because it’s too hard. That would kill the human race. We want to be porous, so we can feel and release. That doesn’t mean we forget.
I won’t wander too far into the dark side of the news, but the idea of a televised firing squad is antithetical to true empathy. Fortunately, 80% of Americans polled said to put the kibosh on it. The worrisome piece is that 20% thought it was a good idea.
The Moon goes void of course at 11:31 p.m. Eastern. It’s a delicious night to go into the dreamscape. I invite us to dream about expanding empathy and the emotional and intuitive connections that let us thrive.
A short story. I was going through the Dallas airport with a half hour to make my connection, and a woman named Mirimam was helping me from gate to gate. She said, “It’s such a pleasure to escort you because you’re so calm and nice.” I said, “Of course I’m calm and nice. I have this angel taking me through Dallas airport, and I’m so grateful to be with you.” It was a lovely little moment, a person connecting with a person, and those are the moments we want to expand. It is better to love as you move through the world.
I was at a celebration of life where a woman said her mother used to say, “I have never met a stranger.” This is a good attitude, with boundaries, of course. We have to know when to move away from someone. But most people are nice. So, Moon in Pisces, dream into that world Thursday night.
Friday: The Veil Thins, the Fire Rises
On Friday the 23rd, the Sun enters Scorpio at 5:38 a.m., bringing thirty days of fixed water energy. It’s deep and delicious, and I love this time of year. The veil thins, and we can connect with our ancestors and with whatever planes, dimensions of energy, or consciousness they inhabit.
The void-of-course Moon is still tracking through most of the day, until it enters Aries at 3:53 p.m. ET. Friday may be a workday for many of us, but while the Moon is still in Pisces, lean into creativity, love, connection, meditation, and all the things that open our hearts. It’s a hard day for dealing with people who are forceful and doubling down. Dissolve them away and flow around them if you can.
Once the Moon enters Aries, we’re in fire cardinal energy, and that cooks. It’s an interesting Moon to have with the Sun in Scorpio. The two signs aren’t alike, but in traditional astrology both are ruled by Mars, so both are assertive. Scorpio is more under the radar, but it knows where it wants to go. The drive is strong in both, so Friday into Saturday is incredibly productive.
Saturday and Sunday: Deepen Into Love
Pay attention to this: the Aries Moon moves into direct opposition to Venus in Libra shortly before the full moon. That full moon, in Taurus, lands just after midnight Eastern on Sunday, so depending on your time zone it’s Sunday or the wee hours of Monday. It’s lit by the Scorpio Sun, and it’s very intense. I feel the opposition is a proposal, a way to work with the push-pull between what one feels they need and how they’re able to achieve it.
We can’t push our way into a relationship. Well, we can, but by definition a relationship is about reciprocity. There are functional, dysfunctional, codependent, and healthy ones. Ideally, we’re working toward balance: give and take, reciprocity, and respect. Respect is a huge word for relationship.
That’s particularly charged now, with Venus retrograde and an Aries Moon, which is about “what I want, what I need,” against Venus in Libra, which is about “where is the we?” How do we get heard, witnessed, and validated? How do we listen? Mercury went retrograde at 3:18 a.m. Eastern on Saturday, so this is really about going within.
Taurus is said to be one of the best places for the Moon, with the message is that there is so much bounty. But this particular Moon indicates juggling and trying to figure out what it’s going for, due to planetary. aspects. So it’s an incredibly valuable weekend to reflect on relationship. Do you have the relationships you require? Are they respectful? Reciprocal? Frustrating? Can they only go so far? With the veil thin, we can also consider relationships that are no longer physically with us.
Give yourself time to reflect, journal, and meditate, and to deepen the most important relationship, the one with yourself. When you love, understand, and listen to yourself, you can offer other people that same allowance and respect.
I’ve been on a long journey of learning to love myself and be more patient, and that’s why I could have that delightful exchange with Mirimam in the Dallas airport. She’s someone I’ll most likely never see again, and I love her. We need more of that. Allow yourself a weekend to deepen into love.
