In our final teaching of the year, we tackled Joshua 1:1-11:
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
— Joshua 1:9
Most Christians believe that strength is just about physical fitness. It’s not. True strength is a three-dimensional mandate that requires alignment of mind, body, and spirit to fulfill our God-given assignments.
Hard Truth: God Commands Strength—Not Suggests It
God told Joshua to be strong three times. Not a suggestion. A command. And here’s the kicker: when God commands something, He’s already equipped you to do it. The question isn’t can you—it’s will you?
Key Questions Explored:
* Are we more like Moses (making excuses) or Joshua (making moves)?
* Are our thoughts sabotaging our assignments, or supporting them?
* What’s all that Bible study worth if you never walk it out?
* Why does God care about our physical well-being in the first place?
A Thought Exercise
Moses was strong at 120. Caleb conquered giants at 85. Abraham received begat Isaac at 100. What could stop you from being vital, strong, and fulfilling your purpose 25 years from now?
