Cold Open Question of the Week: What’s something that you’re surprised is inexpensive? (For example, I can’t believe how little Helluva Good Dip costs?)

Super Bowl LX

Way Back When:

Hall of Snubs: Bill Belichick, whose won 13 percent of all Super Bowls ever played (2 as defensive coordinator with the New York Giants and 6 as head coach of New England Patriots) was not elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame on the first ballot this week. Gary’s reaction?

Homeless: Former Patriots cornerback Asante Samuel called out the need for the NFL to help former players who are now homeless. Odell Beckham Jr. says its impossible for players to live on $100 million. Former NFL defensive lineman Kevin Johnson, 55, was found stabbed to death at a Los Angeles homeless encampment on January 21st. The death of the 4th round 1993 draft pick, who played for the Eagles and Raiders, is being investigated as a homicide.

Super Bowl Ads: Brian doesn’t get the buzz around the Budweiser bald eagle ad.

Watch TheBrianLennonShow on Substack:

John Mellencamp: The rock star is going out on tour this year, and has been busy promoting, including stops to see Joe Rogan and a video of him walking on a treadmill while smoking! He can’t help himself.

WaPo: The legendary newspaper in the Nation’s Capital is cutting its sports department and international news desk, and will not be sending any reporters to cover this year’s Winter Olympics.

Cold Snap: Has Gary been affected by the freezing temperatures in Florida? Rapp Brewing Company’s Chili Cook Off was canceled due to the frigid temps last week.

Before We Go…

Time Traveler: Our friend and faithful listener, Jay M. from Olyphant, shared a picture this week that appears to show Gary checking his Twitter feed on a cell phone. The problem is, the picture was taken in the late 1980s, before smart phones ever existed.
