Which led us to something called “conversational intelligence” which may be one of my new favorite phrases. Look it up—it’s a delightful rabbit hole that I have not fully emerged from yet.
From there, we dive into culture and how it must be operationalized every day, not simply talked about on the company website or during quarterly team meetings.
A great example? Ditch the old-school job descriptions that have been cut and pasted into irrelevance over the years and move towards what Judy calls a “role descriptor,” which puts each role into the context of a company’s values. And provides clear commitments around how to bring those values to life each day.
