Title: Who is really in control?

Bible Passage:John 11:45-57 (ESV)

Summary:Do you love a good strategy game? Whether it's a game of chess or a Catan showdown, we all enjoy plotting a path to victory. But what happens when our best-laid plans fall apart? In John 11:45-57, we meet Caiaphas, the high priest who thought he was in control of the situation by plotting Jesus' death. He believed that sacrificing one man would save the nation. Little did he know, God was orchestrating a greater plan — a plan for salvation that would reach far beyond his understanding. Just like a Catan game that takes an unexpected turn, Caiaphas wasn’t the one truly in control. God was. His divine plan was at work, using even the flawed intentions of men to bring about good. How often do we assume control in our own lives, thinking we know best? This passage challenges us to surrender our plans to God, acknowledging His sovereignty.

Let go of the illusion of control and trust in God's greater purpose.
