On this episode, I visit the Ottawa Mission to speak with their CEO, Peter Tilley. Born into a military family, Peter and his siblings moved around until a tragic accident settled them in Ottawa. After high school, he graduated from Algonquin College and worked in several industries before a professional reset. He left his life as an executive to drive for the Ottawa Food Bank. He progressed from doing deliveries to the Executive Director of the food bank. During his time at the food bank is when he decided to deal with his addiction to alcohol. Clean and sober, fit and healthy, Peter has been the CEO of the Ottawa Mission for over a decade. He and his team serve the Ottawa community in a variety of ways that not only provide essential services and dignity to our citizens, but help support social stability.
