Meet Moira Fraizer
Moira is a celebrity stylist and custom wig maker who is known for being one of the fastest wig builders in Hollywood.
Moira has over a decade of experience in television and film, while she’s now the department head of hair at Abbot Elementary, she has also been on sets such as Ru Paul’s Drag Race, Claim to Fame, Trixie Hotel, and many more.

Be humble and respectful to everyone on set. The person who is making your coffee one day, could be the person referring you to a new job the next. Moira even explained that she gained referrals from people who were COVID officers one day and leading productions soon after. It pays to treat everyone you meet equally and with the respect that they deserve, no matter how small or large their role.
When Moira is looking for stylists to join her team, she needs people who can do children's hair as well as adults. If it’s clear that the children on set are just as important in making a story believable, then it’s also clear that doing children's hair can offer you a bredth of opportunities in the industry.
From shrunken wigs, to making emergency style changes in 15 minutes, there are so many instances that stylists have to problem solve on the spot when on TV and film sets. This is something Moira is all too familiar with and a reality that many stylists will face as they break into the industry. Moira’s advice is to be overpreparred and have as many back up plans as you can to create a safety net.
