Thank you to all who joined one of the liveliest streams we’ve had! You kept the vibe high and the story rich, adding your riffs and meeting each other in the comments. You made it fun to share, for me to be this raw and real.
I hesitate to break this one down (and Dave will do an awesome job anyway!), because this story has so much context and weaves different themes, but I share about my path the last few years, including how my mission evolved via ‘wrong’ choices in my business partnership and most recently who I believed to be my love match.
But each mistake (missed take) turned out to be a gift, as all mistakes are (I used to teach basic improv to my grad students; ‘mistakes are gifts’ is a key insight). Each wrong turn steered me into my right seat assignment (my throne, as Oracle says). And the moment I got there, I remembered who my true soulmate was.*
And my father reached out, ready to reconcile. And we reconciled. Without an ounce of compromise on my end.
This all happened in one day.
Because the flame of truth catches fire quickly. It burns through our stories, our performances, our beliefs, and the distortions we carry.
Especially now, when we are starved for authenticity. When we just want to be together.
So enjoy my messy confessional. My winding story of love, betrayal, reunion, absurdity, and synchronicity. It’s a magical tale. Just like yours.
And it’s only chapter 1!
