Romans 13: Submit To Biblical Government For Conscience Sake
The Apostle Paul Charges Christians to Submit to the Government He Depicts From a Holy Spirit-Convicted Conscience (Rom. 13:5):
“Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God's wrath but also for your conscience’ sake.”
What makes a government secular is its rejection of Jesus as Sovereign King and His Law as supreme. This is the government some people declare Christians are to submit to from a Holy Spirit-convicted conscience. Can that really be right!
