Description

From the Gifted Underachievers Lab: High-Value, Smaller Experiments with Examples.

As creatives we can find ways to test out our little brainstorms, finding ways to become better at our art, try new business ideas, and explore our most significant obstacles.

The intent is not to add more work to our already overflowing plates, but to generate ideas that we can quickly test the validity of and if warranted, develop the idea further or toss it aside.

Often we do this without much intentionality. For example, do we track a new songwriting strategy? Do we explore better ways to prepare for auditions? Do we, really, pay attention to the little things that could add value to our lives and work?

Remember that your creative product is the solution to a publisher’s, casting director’s, gallery director’s, and music club’s core problem: They need good new creatives to publish, cast, hang, and produce.
