At some point in our lives, we will encounter our faults and feel less than. We are not called to live as defeated people but as victors in Christ Jesus. However, we also need to see our faults and our need for God. We need to be reminded of our need for Him. God allows our weaknesses to be seen so we can see our need for Him, our need to apologize to those around us, to humble us. He loves us enough to put us in situations where we are reminded of our need for a Savior. This isn’t a thing to push away but to embrace. We need to run to our Savior. We find joy and fulfillment when we rest in our knowing we aren’t enough on our own and find our joy in him.
We can find contentment and thankfulness even when our faults are very evident. Christ is in a continual process of purifying us, refining us, and making us a clearer reflection of Jesus to the world.
