In today's Bruce Springsteen Region showdown, we pit two quintessential 80s anthems against each other: the arena rock perfection of (7)Def Leppard's "Photograph" versus the new wave sophistication of (10)Blondie's "Call Me."

"Photograph" features Mutt Lange's meticulously layered soundscapes, gated reverb drums, and the kind of harmonic complexity that required cutting-edge studio technology to achieve.

"Call Me," on the other hand, represents the decade's punk-influenced new wave aesthetic. The song's connection to the film "American Gigolo" is the beginning of how movie soundtracks became a driving force in pop music during the decade.

Both songs epitomize what made the 1980s such a distinctive musical era, but they represent very different sides of the decade's sonic personality. Which will YOU choose?
