Description

There is no way... yet that is exactly what Zeno of Cyprus, a wealthy merchant, did after he lost everything when he was shipwrecked in Athens in 300 BCE.

That was the beginning of Stoicism, a philosophy that many great men, such as Marcus Aurelius, lived by.

Today, we call a person who remains calm under pressure and avoids emotional extremes a Stoic.

In this episode, you will learn about:

* How Stoics think

* What are the 4 Cardinal Virtues of Stoicism

* What is the Stoic version of Joy

* What is the Stoic version of enough

* And more!

Many strive to live by this philosophy even today.

No surprise, Stoics believe that it is better to deal with the world as it is, while pursuing self-improvement, basically focusing on what they can actually control.

Just like Epictetus said, “We suffer not from the events in our lives, but from our judgment about them.”

We hope that this episode will inspire you to start focusing on the things you can actually control.

Task for the Week

Define your own Virtues and commit to living by them every single day, starting now.

You can pick as many as you desire. If you need help, take a look at this list.
