Today, I want to talk about why all the ease and flow girlies are dead wrong about discipline.
Discipline, to me, is a process of reconnecting with your internal fuel sources. It’s not about suppressing your emotions and getting to work because Daddy Capitalism said so. It’s about being in alignment with your deeper desires and feeling through the resistance that comes up around creative work instead of avoiding it.
Because here’s the thing, creativity is self-connection. It’s where we get to engage parts of our Self we don’t often spend time with. It’s how we process emotions, alchemize wounds, and build our dreamworld. Creative engagement and expression is an emotional need. So you’re not doing yourself a whole lot of good by repeatedly neglecting it.
