Today, we’re chatting about why your art practice isn’t about making art at all. I talk about what it actually means to fully absorb into your inner world and how hypersigil work can help you build momentum and energy to actually do that art-making part you’re all so crazy about!
We’ll also discuss a little bit of how breaking up with your healing journey and embracing your “unhealed” present through expressing your creativity can actually—you guessed it—be healing.
Giving up on the belief that only the most healed version of me can exist happily, holistically, and make mind-blowing work—giving up the identity of being a “traumatized person”—really slingshotted me forward into what I now believe to be, ironically, the most healed version of me. Embracing a life with wounds and allowing myself to revel in the lushness of my own grief has not only vastly improved my mental health, it’s enhanced my creative capabilities and increased my desire to express myself.
And honestly, there’s no place I’d rather be.
