Description

An ode to practice.

I recorded this episode in December, and I love that my guides referenced it and expanded upon it in the last episode. They spoke about how practice is what makes everything that humans create. In this episode, we explore spiritual practice in a more literal way, but with the usual philosophical meanderings. Here’s a sort of summary:

vast realms open up via practice <> boredom as gateway <> meditation as necessary but not sufficient <> practice saved me <> the mind can be unruly <> philosophy as therapeutic <> Foucault on philosophy as care of the self as spiritual practice as politically necessary <> let me read some philosophy to you <> Selfhood vs posthumanism <> meditation as discerning true self <> when practice becomes trauma response <> how to relate to pain <> consciousness is transformative <> how to trick yourself into practicing <> the vast array of practices…

I recorded this episode as a sort of introduction and invitation to my practice-based membership The Secret Art. If you want support and community while engaging in spiritual practice, while developing intuitively, while evolving as a soul, while learning how to work with astrology in tangible and practical ways, this is the place for you. I can barely wait to gather with you beautiful souls to do this work/play together. <3
