AI and the Myth of the Perfect Woman
In this episode, we explore the myths of Pygmalion, Athena, and the tale of Echo and Narcissus, and how these three stories reflect the archetype of the “perfect woman” that men often attempt to create. These women are never based in reality, but rather, like Athena, they are born from the ideas of the men who created them. Thus, they represent the Goddess or the light feminine.
With advancing technology, we are starting to see men attempt to bring their “dream women” into creation through creating female humanoid robots and artificial wombs. But is this a good thing, and what does it say about men in our society that they would rather have a robot dream woman than connect to their own humanity?
P.S. Sorry, the echo (HAHA) on this episode is awful! I'm still working on getting my setup right lol.
