Hello everyone, welcome to my weekly audio journal.
Today I'd like to share a tribute of Thich Nhat Hanh, one of my favorite buddhist teachers.
His recent passing has got me searching for my favorite quotes from his books and today I'd like to share the few quotes that have made quite the impact in my life. And I hope that you will enjoy them as well.
"Feelings come and go like clouds in a windy sky. Conscious breathing is my anchor,"
“Many people think excitement is happiness...But when you are excited you are not peaceful. True happiness is based on peace,"
"If you love someone but rarely make yourself available to him or her, that is not true love,"
"Hope is important because it can make the present moment less difficult to bear. If we believe that tomorrow will be better, we can bear a hardship today,"
“My actions are my only true belongings.”
"If you suffer and make your loved ones suffer, there is nothing that can justify your desire,"
"When you love someone, you have to offer that person the best you have. The best thing we can offer another person is our true presence,"
May Thich Nhat Hanh rest in peace.
Thank you everyone for listening.
