Hello everyone welcome to my weekly audio journal.
Today I'd like to share a piece by Cory Muscara,"If you don't train your mind to appreciate what is good, you'll continue to look for something better in the future, even when things are great."
"The belief that there is some future moments more worth our presence than the one we're in right now is why we miss our lives."
These two quotes by Corey serve as reminder for me, regardless of how difficult things are I should always appreciate the present moment and be grateful for it. Because this is part of the lifestyle that I chose, I have to keep pulling myself back from living for the end goal versus the lifestyle I have to go through in order to achieve that goal. And if I am not willing to go through this lifestyle in this process then maybe it's time to reconsider the end goal. Better yet become grateful for the process, become grateful for the current lifestyle because that is the journey. Because once I get to that goal I know I'll just set another goal and then back I am at square one, striving to get to the next goal so make the process and lifestyle enjoyable and if that doesn't work pick something else.
Thank you everyone for listening
