In this Bonus Brolo Episode, I continue talking about Intelligence, Functionalism, Subjectivity, and the end of the world.
Recently, Mikey and I spoke with Marek and Roberto, excellent dudes and co-authors of the book Exocapitalism: Economies With Absolutely No Limits. One of the things we touched on was their notion of Computation, which I think is very similar to Nick Land’s interpretation of Intelligence; and I juxtapose these ideas against that of Subjectivity. I also talk about how annoyed I get with breathless dorks who think AI is something it isn’t, and also those unwilling curmudgeons too scared to admit that we are on the precipice of some pretty undeniable changes. I also talk a little bit about radioactive slime molds at Chernobyl.
