On the morning of March 10th, we were met with the news that Africa has a new unicorn, Flutterwave. Coupled with Paystack’s recent acquisition by Stripe, we could indeed be seeing a new era of African innovators
Founded in 2014, Flutterwave allows businesses to make and accept payments anywhere in the world - something particularly problematic for African businesses.
And there are plenty more where that came from - Africa is filled with talented developers and startups working on truly innovative concepts
However, it’s generally the case that people don’t know about these companies and founders.
This is where our guest today comes in. Serial entrepreneur and founder of Techpoint Africa and TalentQL, Adewale Yusuf is increasing the visibility of African technology and talent.
The former, Techpoint, is one of Africa’s lead tech media publications and the latter, TalentQL is streamlining the recruitment process for firms hiring from the continent.
In fact, Techpoint was one of the first platforms to publish articles on Flutterwave and Paystack, Adewale has had his finger on the pulse of Africa tech for while.
