Christianity should be simple and straightforward, then why does it often feel so complex? The Holy Spirit often seems vague and “only for the super spiritual,” and church also tends to feel like it’s for the Varisty players.
Well, if you are having a hard time with church and the Holy Spirit, maybe you need to do a little bit of introspection. Perhaps, if you’ve found yourself a bit disconnected from your experience of God, it’s worth it to do some internal digging and figure out why you need him in the first place?
This is what the Holy Spirit helps us do, to dig up some of our internal mess, bring it into the light, so that God might heal us and build us into a temple fit for his dwelling.
