Other notes:

* When I say that in “F r a g m e n t s” each 2nd half of each line in each quatrain contains 2 beats, then 3 beats, then 2, then 3—as the inverse of the ballad poetic form’s arrangement of metrical feet (4, 3, 4, 3)—I neglected to say that in each instance I consider the 1st half of each line an additional 1 beat (despite often technically having more than that), which of course is necessary to fulfill my “inverse of the ballad.”
