Description

In this episode I explore the topic of Spiritual Wellness, recognizing how subjective the nature of Spirituality is, contrasting it to the darker aspect of “Spiritual Illness”.

This podcast episode takes a broader philosophical take and hones in on more practical take-aways towards the latter half. Afterwards, I realized I excluded some very important spiritual practices I regularly participate in, Yoga, Conscious breathing and Mantra. I will elaborate on these spiritual practices in another episode: “Spiritual Practices”.

Subtopics I explore:

- My Spirituality and psychedelics

- The Spiritual Ego

- Distortions of Spirituality

- “God is dead” ie. redefining morality

- Role models in Spirituality

- Spiritual practices

- Ceremony and Prayer

- Cultural appropriation

Song in intro- "Light of the Mountain" by Brandon Tilt

I acknowledge that I learn, grow and heal on the unceded ancestral lands of the Kwikwetlam first nation, the Stolo and the Tseil-Watuth first nations. These lands were never abandoned nor surrendered by those with the ancestral rights to steward and protect these lands.

I honor and respect the elders, the children, the land stewards, the land protectors, the medicine keepers, and the men and women of all indigenous nations.

Huy ch q’u (thank you) to those who support the indigenous communities and actively decolonize their minds and their spirits.

Aho Mitakuye Oyasin, All my relations.
