Description

In this episode I began podcasting atop the viewpoint called "West Vancouver Viewpoint" also known as "Eagle Bluff", a gorgeous viewpoint at the top of Eagle Mountain. Here, I randomly dove into some of my raw unfiltered reflections about my recent "fork in the road" about leaving Canada.

I feel called to live in South America, and I take this call to action very seriously. It's only a matter of time at this point, and as I walked further into the mountains, I realized that I had once struggled through a terrifying LSD trip close to where I was. After doing a "Parts Check in", I began to reflect on life and healing more generally.

Interestingly, this podcast episode led me deep into the mountains, and I had to run full speed down the mountains to avoid getting locked in the park.

Subtopics that arose:

- Comparing Canada and South America

- Letting go of control and living a good life

- The paradox of healing and being conscious

- Recalling my past psychedelic crisis near Cyprus Lake

- Belief systems and fear

Song in the intro- "Light of the Mountain" by Brandon Tilt

I acknowledge that I learn, grow and heal on the unceded ancestral lands of the kʷikʷəƛ̓əm , the Katzie, the Stó:lō and the Tseil-Watuth First Nations. These lands were never abandoned nor surrendered by those with the ancestral rights to steward and protect these lands.

I honour and respect the elders, the children, the land stewards, the land protectors, the medicine keepers, and the men and women of all Indigenous nations.

Huy ch q’u (thank you) to those who support the indigenous communities and actively decolonize their minds and spirits.

Aho Mitakuye Oyasin, All my relations.
