Description

Today, my podcast guest is my good friend, Riley Azarose. With over 20 years of experience in Taekwondo and 12 years as a dedicated instructor, he brings a deep understanding of martial arts rooted in discipline, presence, and personal growth. Having a 4th Degree Master's Rank in Taekwondo, international medals for various competitions, and a wide range of teaching experiences, his teaching ability extends beyond Taekwondo into various martial and performance art forms. These teachings have translated the timeless values of Martial Arts into practical wisdom for everyday life.

Nowadays, Riley specializes in curating immersive experiences through his event production company, Dusk2Dawn where he guides entrepreneurs by embodying martial arts-inspired leadership. He embodies the warrior archetype as he remains grounded, focused, and courageous—both in business and beyond.

Subtopics that arise:

- Riley's story of competing in Martial Arts

- Fighting and Competition

- Dedication to Creativity

- Mastering the art of learning

- Conflict and non-violence

Song in the intro- "Light of the Mountain" by Brandon Tilt

I acknowledge that I learn, grow and heal on the unceded ancestral lands of the kʷikʷəƛ̓əm , the Katzie, the Stó:lō and the Tseil-Watuth First Nations. These lands were never abandoned nor surrendered by those with the ancestral rights to steward and protect these lands.

I honour and respect the elders, the children, the land stewards, the land protectors, the medicine keepers, and the men and women of all Indigenous nations.

Huy ch q’u (thank you) to those who support the indigenous communities and actively decolonize their minds and spirits.

Aho Mitakuye Oyasin, All my relations.
