this man, he found a monster
he didn't think to just leave it lay
he thought he’d take it to the city
and see what all the people would say
he had this inclination
to keep the monster shiny and clean
he’d polish it, and
primp that thing and preen
it's gonna kill him
it's gonna drill him in the brain
it's gonna work on him and eat at him
and drive him insane... you know it is
he had a brilliant idea
to find a way to make it pay
he thought he'd put it in a window
let people walk by all day
he'd sit back in his office
and count his money ten feet high
and when the day was over
he couldn't lock the monster away
is the monster the monster?
or is the monster that man?
is the monster the monster?
i'll tell you what i think...
the monster is the greed in any woman or man.
