It was all the news around there for days. No reason, no warning. It wasn’t for revenge, it wasn’t for self-defense. It was just because. It made no sense at all.
The family spent the day cleaning up. The neighbors were shocked. The kids were mortified. It wasn’t clear to anyone how it happened, much less why. Everything seemed secure. It was very difficult to find the point of entry.
Needless to say, people were disappointed. So much time and effort had been put into creating the best environment possible for their long, productive lives. It wholly ruined the family’s plans for a pleasant vacation. Let alone breakfast.
