Description

My love,

This week’s episode of The Magic Divorce Club Podcast is one I’ve wanted to share for a while. It’s something we all go through, but rarely talk about honestly: grieving your relationship.

When a marriage or long-term relationship ends, it’s not just the person you lose. You’re grieving the life you thought you were building — the jokes, the routines, the dreams, the identity of being a wife or a family unit.

And what makes it harder? You’re often mourning someone who you still have to see. They might even seem happy, while you’re left trying to make sense of the heartbreak, confusion, and emptiness.

In this episode, I talk about:

✨ The emotional layers of grief after divorce — and why it’s so normal to still love or miss them✨ Why grief doesn’t happen in neat stages (it’s more like a loop: denial, anger, bargaining, sadness, acceptance… and back again)✨ The strange mix of freedom and loneliness that hits at unexpected moments✨ Practical tools to process your grief safely — without getting stuck or self-sabotaging✨ The importance of allowing sadness on purpose — and why scheduling time to feel it actually speeds up healing

I share how my own process looked — from overachieving and pretending I was fine, to self-sabotaging and finally letting myself feel.

If you’re feeling broken or like you’re doing weird things, my love, please know you’re not broken at all...You’re almost certainly grieving.

They say grief is love with nowhere to go. And I say, pour that grief back into yourself.

The opposite of grief isn’t happiness — it’s peace. And that peace comes when you stop fighting what’s happened and start choosing what comes next.
