To be honest, I hadn’t even looked at Amy M Castro and Michael Compton website until about an hour before I interviewed them. Not because I don’t like them or disagree with their cause, but because I’m just like the rest of you…busy. I thought I had already seen anything that they would have to offer so why take the time to look at something new and overwhelm myself with yet another place to get information?!
When I finally did get on there this morning so I would have a better ideas of what questions to ask them, I was blown away!
Could it be that there was finally a website that was EXACTLY what I had been wanting?!
All I could think while I browsed through was, “I can’t believe I’ve gone without this all this time!”
The way they break things down is so simple and helpful. It’s so easy to get a snapshot of what you need to know OR dig in much deeper. And while they do share their thoughts on certain legislation, it’s evident that they have really tried to look at both sides when doing their research.
I applaud them for sacrificing so much time, energy and money to try and help educate and equip those of us who are “too busy” to pay attention and/or get involved. There’s truly no excuse now! I urge you to check out Act4MO.org and bookmark it. It will be the best tool you can have to stay informed but not get overwhelmed.
While all things take money, the biggest request Michael and Amy have was not for financial help but simply for more people to sign up for the Rapid Response team texts, or to get in touch with them and go take a trip to the Capitol, or to simply share their social media posts! There’s so many non time-consuming ways you can make a really big difference. They’ve done all the hard work, I think we can go the other 10%!
And while they might not ask for donations, I will gladly ask on their behalf because I know how needed what they’re doing is and how important it is for us to come alongside them. Do we care about future generations enough to sacrifice our lives, fortune, and sacred honor?
