Jefferson City, MO. A few years back I read that it was voted the most beautiful small city in America. At the time, I thought that was hilarious! As someone who’s lived in Alaska and Hawaii, I found it comical that a small town in Midwest USA could hold a candle to Denali or Maui! But the more time I spent in JC, the more I began to see this hidden gem for the beauty it really does hold!
And then, I started to get involved with the politics of Jeff City.
Can a place still be beautiful even if the people running it are ugly? How long can beauty survive when beaten with the ugly stick for years? Will that which is good and beautiful ever be able to overcome the evil?
YES! But it takes those willing to step up and say, “enough is enough!” Representative Justin Sparks is that man! Willing to risk his career in politics, Justin understands what is truly important and is a real example of what it means to live out your faith; to do all he can do and then stand.
