This post regards the following:
When forced to plead for one’s life, returning to traditional life constructs afterwards can be challenging for some, due to compromises they might have made in their pleas for continued existence, setting those determinations deep into their subconscious mind. Like a deal with the devil, but the opposite, whereby worldly desires are abandoned for a higher purpose in some cases, or simply survival for survival’s sake, in others. To complicate the topic further, in the United States (where we are coming from) and maybe in other places around the world, ensuring survival itself is a life-and-death situation at all times, with little to no community support. How do different people reckon with life after near-death experiences and other close calls with the reaper? We talk about all of this and more in this episode of Our Evening Tea.
