Welcome back to True Assassins, the podcast that explores the dark side of history and the evil that men do. Today we have another addictive true-crime story that will chill you to the bone.

Get ready for a tale of piety and deception. Our story takes us back to the time when the church held immense power. Our assassin today is Sister Magdalena, a seemingly holy woman who was revered for her miracles and wise counsel. People worshipped her as a living saint. Churches were built in her name, and statues were erected in her honor.

But behind her saintly facade was a heart of darkness. Her miracles were nothing more than carefully staged acts designed to manipulate the masses and expand the church's influence. Sister Magdalena was a master manipulator, using her fake miracles to silence any opposition and discredit those who dared to challenge the church's authority.

Her latest victim was a humble preacher who dared to preach a message of love and humility, a message that threatened the church's control over the poor and vulnerable. She decided to make an example of him, turning his execution into a public spectacle to instill fear in the hearts of the people.

As the flames of the pyre were about to engulf the preacher, a mysterious young man intervened. With a single word, he extinguished the flames, leaving the preacher unharmed. He then revealed himself to be an angel, sent to protect the innocent.

Sister Magdalena was exposed. Her lies were laid bare, her power stripped away. The crowd that had once adored her now looked upon her with disgust and contempt. She was imprisoned by her own church, her name erased from history.

The Fallen Saint is a story of betrayal, hypocrisy, and the ultimate price of blind ambition. It’s a reminder that evil can lurk in the most unexpected places, even behind the mask of piety.
