Welcome back, fiends, to The Walking Dread Podcast, the only daily dose of terror guaranteed to make your skin crawl! Join your fearless hosts, Adrian and Julia, as we plunge headfirst into the abyss of fear. Tonight, we've got a tale so chilling, so twisted, it'll make you think twice before looking in a mirror again!

Tonight's descent into darkness begins with a seemingly innocent game played by a group of thrill-seeking teens. They thought it was just a spooky story, an urban legend to spice up a boring night: say a murdered bride's name, Teresa, twice in a bathroom mirror at midnight, and she'll come for you within a week. Carla, our protagonist for this terrifying ride, was the biggest skeptic, scoffing at the idea of a vengeful spirit. But Mariana, the new exchange student, knew the whispers, the dark history.

Ignoring the warnings, fueled by teenage bravado and a thirst for the forbidden, they chanted the name: Teresa. Teresa.. The lights flickered, a classic horror movie cliché, but then… nothing. They laughed, relieved, thinking they'd called the bluff of the supernatural. Ah, but dear listeners, this is The Walking Dread – relief is just the calm before the storm!

Soon, the pranks started – fake blood, spooky selfies. Harmless fun, right? Wrong! The pranks escalated into something far more sinister: accidents began to happen, each one mirroring the gruesome death of the legendary bride. Amanda burned herself, Diego's wrist shattered in a fall – echoes of a burning and a fatal plunge. Carla, initially untouched, felt the gnawing pangs of guilt as the horror became undeniably real.

In a desperate attempt to make amends, Carla locked herself in the bathroom, whispering an apology to the unseen presence. For a moment, it seemed to work. Relief washed over her… until she saw the water. It wasn't draining. It was rising, stained crimson. And then, the message on the foggy mirror, not scrawled by a ghost, but by her own hand: "You brought me. Now I choose.".

What followed was a scream swallowed by the bloody water, a locked door, and a terrifying discovery. They tried to rationalize it as suicide, a sudden mental breakdown. But the pattern of accidents, the uncanny escalation, whispered a different, far more disturbing truth.

Here's the twist that will leave you breathless: Teresa wasn't the real threat. She was just the bait. It was the malice that murdered her, a dark entity seeking a new host, finding it in Carla's own cruelty and desire for control. Carla is gone, but something far more sinister now wears her face, hunting those who revel in the pain of others.

Mariana, once just a homesick student, now carries the burden of this terrifying knowledge, forever watching for the tell-tale signs of malice in the eyes of those around her. The spirit is out there, listeners, a monster in human skin. This isn't about childish rituals anymore; it's about recognizing the terrifying evil that can reside within the seemingly ordinary.

So, lock your doors, check your mirrors, and remember the chilling lesson of tonight's tale: true horror doesn't always need to be summoned – sometimes, it's already walking among us.

Don't forget to rate and follow The Walking Dread for more nightmares delivered fresh every day! Sweet dreams… if you dare!
