Buck Rogers In The 25th Century remains one of the purely fun sci-fi shows born of the twinkly starscapes of the 1980’s. Star Gil Gerard embodied the legendary spaceman with a twinkle in his eye and a laser blaster gun on his hip. One of the things which really jazzed Gerard was his chance to meet an idol o his - the legendary voice actor, Mel Blanc. Twiki, Buck’s robot companion, aka an ambuquad, became one of the most popular and recognizable elements of the TV show.
