Hey y’all, Happy Tuesday! I’ve been a little quiet the last few weeks. Traveling, working, healing, and spending time with family. Not only have I been doing that, I’ve also been in super crazy creator mode—as I call it. Right now, we’re emptying the drafts of all the content I’ve been sitting on. And in the background? I’m prepping a juicy series for us. It’s unfolding in the most beautiful of ways. So unexpectedly. And I’m loving it. I can’t wait to share it.

🌕 Super Moon in Gemini: The Truth Wants Out
This Gemini Super Moon is calling us to speak up, tune in, and reconnect with the stories we’ve outgrown. It’s a moon of communication and connection, yes—but not just with others. With ourselves.
It’s asking us to:
* Shift our narratives and drop the stories that were rooted in fear or survival.
* Reimagine our reality and give ourselves permission to choose different.
* Speak our truth out loud, even when it’s messy, even when we don’t know how it’ll land.
* And most of all? To stay curious about our own growth. To be open-hearted, open-minded, and willing to see what’s actually there—beneath the noise, beneath the roles, beneath the masks.
Okay now for a hard pivot to this week’s episode…the next part of our Draft Drops.
This isn’t just another episode. It’s a spiritual synchronicity. This is the 33rd episode of The Mediocre Black Woman podcast—and I’m also in my 33rd year of life, a year often called the Master Teacher year. A year that invites us to take everything we’ve learned, unlearned, grieved, and gathered—and begin teaching from that place.
And what better way to honor that energy than by talking about something so many of us don’t talk about: friendship. The beauty. The grief. The miscommunication. The unsaid.
Thanks for reading! This post is public so feel free to share it.
I sat down with the Ashley Boyd —a healer, Reiki practitioner, reader, author, and shadow work healer—to talk about:
* The quietness we were judged for—and how it became our sacred observation space
* Feeling jealousy in friendships, and how healing begins when we stop denying it
* Creating spiritual boundaries and honoring discernment in a world that wants constant access
* How to stop people-pleasing and start building trust that’s reciprocal
* Some systems that help us navigate hard conversations with grace
