Softball fans will know the name-Nicole Mendes! She’s a two-time NCAA National Champion, Olympian, and current professional softball athlete whose impact extends beyond competition. After a standout career at the University of Oklahoma, she moved into professional play while becoming a respected national voice across both baseball and softball broadcasting. As an analyst, play by play, and reporter for ESPN, FOX, and additional platforms, Mendes is known for her energy, insight, and ability to translate the game for audiences in a way that is both educational and accessible.
Today, she is also the founder of Groen, a mindset and mental performance company designed to help athletes develop confidence, clarity, and resilience. Mendes hosts the Diamond in the South SEC softball podcast and creates educational, lifestyle, and behind-the-scenes content across social media. Through her professional playing career, broadcasting work in baseball and softball, and her leadership in athlete development, she continues to elevate the sports world with a genuine, athlete-centered, and purpose-driven approach.
