Description

Down syndrome regression disorder (DSRD) is a condition in which a patient with Down syndrome has an unexplained regression of previously attained functional milestones, e.g. going from verbal to non-verbal. It is often associated with catatonia and thus can respond well to ECT and that is often where psychiatry gets involved.
