* Boyd Stevens, the ex-military sheriff, tries to keep order.
* Jim and Tabitha Matthews crash into town with their kids — Julie and Ethan.
* Victor, a quiet and strange man-child, seems to have been here since childhood.
* People begin having disturbing visions, and the town experiences unexplained deaths and events.
* Boyd descends into a mysterious hole, searching for the truth, and the season ends with more questions than answers.
