Hi love,
Steph here. This episode stirred something deep in me.
The idea that we, as women, move through inner seasons and that our hormones shape how we feel and think each day was a true aha moment. I’ve always thought of myself as an emotional person, but when I started tracking my cycle, the waves of emotion and spiraling thoughts finally made sense. It gave me compassion. It reminded me I’m not broken, I’m simply riding the natural rhythms of hormonal shifts.
That insight changed how I relate to myself. It helped me interrupt the old patterns of self-sabotage and instead offer grace, especially during the times I used to feel most defeated.
What I’m learning is this: it’s not a one-and-done kind of practice. There are layers to it. At first, I just noticed how I felt emotionally. Now I’m tuning into my physical body, experimenting with what kinds of movement feel best in different phases of the month. And yep, I still mix up follicular and luteal sometimes. (Anyone else?)
As part of this journey, I created Your Inner Rhythm tracker to help bring more awareness and intention to each phase. What surprised me, though, was that my first few versions had mostly negative reflections. I hadn’t even realized it until Jeanetta gently pointed it out. Why is it that, as women, we so often default to what’s wrong? What if we focused more on what’s working, what’s beautiful, what’s true? How might that shift not just our moods, but the way we feel in our bodies?
I’m a visual learner, and I love sharing tools that bring rhythm and clarity to the chaos. If you’re on this path too, I hope the tracker helps you reconnect with your own natural flow and maybe even celebrate it.
Here’s to honoring the seasons within.
With love,
Steph
Episode Summary
In this expansive and heartfelt episode of Becoming Her, Jeanetta shifts from the science of hormones and cycle tracking into the energetic and spiritual side of embodiment. After several deep dives into the physical layers of women’s health, she now invites you to explore the subtle body—what we feel, intuit, and know beyond words.
Through the lens of yogic philosophy and lived experience, Jeanetta shares teachings from her Living Yoga program, including the five koshas (layers of the self), the chakra system, and the energetic flows of manifestation and liberation. She unpacks how these teachings help us recognize our own inner rhythm—and why learning to trust that rhythm is essential to how we live, lead, and relate to others.
With honesty and vulnerability, Jeanetta reflects on her postpartum journey, the grief of closing her studio, and the importance of deep female friendship and collaboration. The episode closes with a guided meditation to help you connect with your sankalpa—your inner soul whisper—and remember that you already carry the wisdom you seek.
Whether you’re brand new to energetic practices or deep in your healing journey, this episode is a soft place to land.
