Hi, love—and welcome back to Becoming Her.
It’s Steph here, Jeanetta’s partner behind the scenes, usually editing and cheering from the background.
This year has been one of deep growth for me. Again and again, I find myself revisiting old beliefs and patterns—gently asking if they still serve the woman I’m becoming. With growth comes discomfort: the tender work of sitting with feelings, naming them honestly, and allowing myself to process what I’m actually experiencing. It’s not always easy, but it’s always worth it.
The hard reality is that we are ultimately the ones who get to choose and reframe how we want to feel and how we want to show up in this world. I choose to live with purpose and lead with intention. Having this as my north star brings me peace. When I notice unhappiness or anger rising, I’ve learned to pause and look inward, asking what I can shift to return to my calm, grounded place.
Because that’s what today’s episode is really about—what happens when the tools you’ve gathered start to work, and the invitation to take radical responsibility for your life. It’s both terrifying and liberating, but it’s also where real growth begins.
So as you listen, I invite you to be curious and look at yourself honestly—notice the places where your tools are already working, and ask what it might look like to live with radical responsibility today.
Much Love,
Steph Woods
Episode Summary
Hi love, and welcome back to Becoming Her. In this episode, Jeanetta gets real about that pivotal (and scary) moment in healing when the tools you’ve been practicing actually start to work—and you can no longer hide behind the story that you’re “not ready yet.”
She explores what it means to move beyond collecting tools, certifications, or self-help practices, and instead step into action, radical responsibility, and living with intention. From nervous system regulation to financial literacy, from coffee habits to storytelling, Jeanetta shares personal examples of how growth sneaks up on us, and why honesty and small, consistent changes matter more than perfection.
This conversation is part wake-up call, part permission slip: to stop waiting, to celebrate your progress, and to live the life you want right now.
