They reminded me of a simple, profound truth: our ego, our human self, is at ground zero. It’s the boots on the ground, immersed in the minutia, and living inside the challenge. When we feel that friction, that anxiety, or that pressure to make a decision right now, it’s often our ego trying to navigate from the epicenter of the storm.
