Welcome to The Gay Lane…the podcast!
Like our articles, this is a space for us to share earnest and honest stories — rooted in personal experience — about queer culture in unexpected places. Unfussy and honest (with occasional background noise from a surly dachshund and/or screeching peacocks), this channel is where we’ll discuss everything from places we’re visiting to movies, and queer news to restaurants. Altogether, it’s a snapshot of queer culture through our eyes, and the broad spectrum of multifaceted interests we share.
For our inaugural episode, we’re talking about something that epitomizes that philosophy: gay car culture. It’s something we’ve both written about recently, from our own personal perspectives (check out Nathan’s story here, and Matt’s here), and after recently completing the Hagerty Silver Summit with Classic Car Adventures, which took us along the Million Dollar Highway in Colorado, we’re digging into the history of this classic car adventure, and the sense of community we find on the road.
The Gay Lane is reader-supported. To receive new posts and support our work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.
As with our articles, some podcast episodes are free, while others will be exclusives for paid subscribers — and as always, support for independent queer creators is greatly appreciated.
Thank you for reading, for following, and for listening.
With Pride,
Matt and Nathan
Thank you for following The Gay Lane. To support independent queer creators, please consider subscribing or making a donation. We take great Pride in authenticity and originality, and that means going the extra mile — or thousands of miles — to celebrate queer culture in unexpected places. This may sound simple, but it takes a great deal of intentional effort, time, and resources to bring this to life with the quality and care that we believe it deserves. Your support makes all the difference.
