Description

Hello everyone…here is my second attempt at getting this episode published! The trickster is afoot big time this Mercury Retrograde! I’d launched the wrong version! Thankfully, Jill ,my guest, listened early and pointed the mix-up before too long. However if you did try to listen to that one or got confused with an email that didn’t open…this is the one I re-invite you to listen to!

Join me in conversation with Jill Carnay, a vocal musician and sound-healer, whose journey with sound began in childhood and has evolved into a profound practice of healing and expression. With formal training spanning jazz, classical voice, and North Indian devotional traditions, Jill brings a profound musical foundation to her work. What makes Jill's approach remarkable is how her personal healing journey through somatic practices transformed her relationship with her body and art. After experiencing her debilitating physical dys-regulation through heavy metal poisoning, she discovered that working directly with the body's nervous system could release long-held patterns of tension and restriction. Through this embodied approach, she healed her body, improved her emotional regulation, and deepened her sense of purpose beyond what conventional therapies had offered. Now as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, she guides others through this transformative process, using movement, breath, and awareness practices that honor the body's innate wisdom and capacity for healing.
