This episode is dedicated to the memory of PJ’s mother, June Sosko, who passed away in 2025.
In this episode, PJ is joined at the table by Barbie Bailey and Thesa Loving, two talented Oklahoma-based actresses, for what we like to call “The Ladies Who Lunch Episode.” These two took two very different paths to end up sharing scenes and moments with each other. One is classically trained in theater (just The Actor’s Studio- no biggie) and the other is an effervescent, natural talent reinventing herself after a career in the business world. They share their perspectives on acting, both on and off the stage, and their experience in Oklahoma film, including auditioning during the COVID pandemic.

Originally we scheduled three women, also including Oklahoman Melanie Fry, for the episode. As we began to record, an unexpected band rehearsal began next door. Despite being interrupted, PJ gave a heartfelt hommage to his mother and we completed the whole episode recording, hoping we could clean it up in post. By the end of the original episode, the music is so prominent it was unusable as an episode. Unfortunately, only Barbie and Thesa were able to make the second podcast recording session.
