Welcome back to Infinite Threads. I’m your host, Bob.
Today’s episode is something a little quieter. A place to breathe.
Lately, we’ve been walking through some heavy things together—truths that ask something of us, truths that can feel like carrying a little extra weight. So this time, we’re going to set the weight down. Just for a moment.
No pressure. No fixing. No conclusions.
Just one simple question, softly asked:What are you standing on?
Not the ground beneath your shoes. The ground beneath your life.
What are you standing on when you speak to the people you love? When you scroll through your feed? When you disagree with someone? When you talk to yourself?
Most of us don’t think about it. We move through the day believing we’re standing on our values, or our beliefs, or our good intentions. And maybe we are.
But sometimes, without realizing it, we’ve drifted. We’re standing on fear.Or the need to be right.Or old, unspoken pain.Or the armor we put on a long time ago and forgot to take off.
It happens quietly. No sirens. No announcements.Just little reactions.Little defenses.Little shifts in how we see people—and ourselves.
And then, one day, we feel distant from who we meant to be.
This episode isn’t here to correct that. It’s not even here to judge it.
It’s just here to help you notice.
Because love begins there—Not with action, but with awareness. Not with performance, but with presence.
When you notice what you’re standing on, something begins to soften.Your grip loosens.Your voice quiets. You start listening—not just to others, but to what’s moving inside you.
And you might realize:You’ve been standing on survival. On proving yourself. On a belief that you have to earn love, or defend love, or control how it’s received.
Or maybe—You’ve already taken a step onto something gentler.
Something that feels like love, but not the loud kind. Not the kind that needs applause. The kind that’s steady.Quiet.Strong without needing to push.
The kind that meets people with tenderness, even when it doesn’t agree. The kind that lets go, without abandoning. The kind that keeps reaching—even when it’s hard.
Standing on love changes how everything moves through you. You’re not forcing kindness—you’re rooted in it.You’re not pretending to care—you genuinely do.You’re not just saying the right things—you’re living from a place that wants to heal, not harm.
So I want to offer a gentle invitation this week.
Not a challenge. Not a rule.Just a moment-to-moment practice:
Pause, now and then. And ask yourself:“What am I standing on right now?”
There’s no wrong answer.
If it’s pain—acknowledge it.If it’s fear—notice it.If it’s love—feel it.
And if you’re not sure? That’s okay too. Even the act of wondering puts your feet back on solid ground.
Because awareness is love. And love never punishes you for not knowing. It just keeps welcoming you back.
One quiet step at a time.
So wherever you find yourself today—On joy or sorrow, anger or grace—May you meet it with gentleness.
And may you remember:You can choose your ground. You can choose love again.Even now.Even here.
