Following the tragic death of her parents and the ending of her decade-long relationship with the man she thought was her soulmate, Jude struggles to rebuild a new life for herself. Between an overbearing sister, the recurring nightmares of her parents’ deaths, and the shambles of her love life, Jude feels completely lost and overwhelmed. She thinks she has finally found a way to cope with everything by returning to her passion of painting on the beach, but it seems Jude can’t catch a break when a dog starts showing up to cause mischief by stealing her paint brushes. Her head cautions her against pursuing a relationship with him, but her heart leaps every time he is near. Jude’s new four-legged friend catapults her onto a roller coaster ride of emotions and self-discovery, which ultimately forces her to face past mysteries and future possibilities.
